Christmas at Alma Park

With half term done, Christmas is fast approaching and so we wanted to share the PTAs plans for our first Christmas at Alma Park event, and how you can get involved!

The very first Christmas at Alma Park will happen on Friday 13 December, after school.

The event will be free to enter, with no ticket needed, and will begin at 3pm for parents and carers who have children in the junior school, and after normal pick-up time for all other parents. It will run until 4.15pm, with timings as follows:

  • 3pm – 3.15pm – Junior school carols in the Junior playground.

You will be able to collect your children from the Junior playground as soon as the carols have finished.

Children in the infants are to be collected at the normal time from normal collection points.

  • 3.15pm – Christmas craft and gift market, with lots of low cost items, hot chocolate and mince pies for sale.
  • 4.15pm – Event finishes.

There will be festive music, fun surprises and maybe a visit from the big man himself…

Can you help?

We need volunteers to help us set up, pack down and run the event – please get in touch if you can spare an hour or two to help. It will be fun, you will be helping raise money for the school AND you’ll get a free hot chocolate and mince pie!

Want a stall?

Would you like to have a stall at the market? We are looking for stallholders who can sell affordable Christmas gifts (no food and drink for consumption on the premises, sorry) that will appeal to kids and adults alike. We are offering stalls at a cost of £10 per table to parents, carers and staff of the school (and £20 for anyone who does not fall into that category) – please get in touch if you are interested.

Other dates for your diary

Of course, this isn’t the only Christmas event happening at the school, there will also be:

  • Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 December (times TBC) – infants’ nativity play
  • Tuesday 17 December – class Christmas parties
  • Thursday 19 December, 2.15pm – end of term

And, most festive of all (!!), Brainbuilder and PTA meeting on the morning of 16 December.

HO HO HO! See you all then!
